ISPL-2010 is pleased to announce Student Travel Grants and Awards.
Terry Galliard Award
The recipient of this year’s Terry Galliard Award is Dr. Christoph Benning from Michigan State University in the US. Christoph is an outstanding scientist who continues to make highly significant contributions to the field of plant lipid research and was selected by vote amongst the international plant lipid research community. Christoph will present the Terry Galliard Lecture on Thursday 15 July on the topic “Lipid metabolism and trafficking during chloroplast development and maintenance”.
Paul K. Stumpf Award
The Paul K. Stumpf Award for a leading early-career plant lipid scientist has been won by Dr. Yuki Nakamura currently at the National University of Singapore. Yuki will present his talk “Phosphatidylcholine signalling modulates inflorescence meristem activity in Arabidopsis” on Thursday 15 July.
Student Travel Grants
We are also very pleased that, mainly through the generous support of our major ISPL Sponsors, we have been able to provide financial assistance to help 12 promising postgraduate students attend ISPL-2010.
